Gigabyte Z motherboards come with an helpful debug LED that helps troubleshooting system issues. The debug LED is located bottom of the motherboard and helps you to pinpoint the source of the problem, in case your system doesn't boot or the monitor is blank. During the boot, the LED rapidly shows various hexadecimal values, with every value representing a successful event or an error.
Therefore the LED showing some value doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem. If your system can't boot, check the current LED value and compare it with the list below. For more troubleshooting, refer to Gigabyte troubleshooting guide. These values probably mean the same for the other Z Aorus models, however I cannot confirm it since I don't have their manual. I think, if for example your system locked up during "A0" it would mean something is wrong with IDE. But it's not the case. Currently mine also says A0, as I also stated in the article. From overclocking and cooling options to satiate die-hard fanatics, to clean, refined aesthetics that are tastefully accented by RGB lighting, Maximus X-series motherboards bring the octane to your build. Maximus X Code features a pair of onboard RGB headers and a pair of addressable headers that can be connected to compatible lighting strips, fans, coolers, and PC cases, creating a new world of illumination possibilities.
For maximum brightness, strip length should not exceed 3m. LED strips and Aura Sync-compatible devices are sold separately. From in-system illumination to peripherals and beyond, the SDK provides an evolving toolkit of options to enhance games and software with RGB lighting. Game effects, alerts, and audio can all be portrayed via Aura-compatible hardware, creating subtle or dazzling visual cues to augment the action.
There's also scope to map system parameters such as temperatures to lighting, giving enthusiasts new ways to monitor vital information. By efficiently dissipating heat away from the M. The heatsink's angular design adds an eye-catching touch to any build, while the T-sensor detects temperatures in the vital M.
Each header can be set to monitor and react to three user-configurable thermal sensors, for workload based cooling. Nothing changed. Everything seems to work fine for me as well. This is really annoying. Let me know if you figured it out!! May 4, 12, 2, If so, there are a lot of posts out there detailing the current issues with it. If your system is stable, I'd just ignore the code and hopefully Gigabyte will release another version soon. If not, there is a way to roll back to a previous BIOS version, but there are extra steps involved.
There's a link in my 7 post talking about how to do it. Henri said:. UsandThem said:. You're the best UsandThem!!Home Help Login Register. Brand new build. Z77x-UD5H hangs on power up debug code A6 b? Hello, I apoligize if this is a duplicate thread. So, the truth is I have no real business trying to build a gaming PC without help.
Bu I tried anyway. According to the manual, A6 is part of the normal process, but not the end of it. The description of A6 is "detect and install all currently SCSI devices" However, directly before going to A6, the debug says A9 which is described as "Bios setup is started" Any thoughts, suggestions?
I am extrelmely grateful for any advice. Well don't i feel like an even bigger idiot Now, if I can avoid any other self made issues, I will be happy! Silks 2 0. Although the original poster seems to have solved this problem for himself, I am experiencing the EXACT same symptoms he described above.
Keyboard works on my older pc fine - I can open and close my DVD burner tray, fans are running, etc. I've tried clearing CMOS using the button and even taking the battery out for hours. I've tried both the main and backup BIOS on the board. However, the computer didn't go to BIOS then either. I feel I've exhausted all my troubleshooting ideas. Any suggestions or ideas please?Salon hair dryer cad block

I'm receiving a code on my motherboard "A0". It's been like this since I've built it. From what I've experienced, there's no issues or anything with the computer itself, so I assume it's not that big of a deal, but it is bugging me a bit In the manual, it states that the error code A0 means "IDE Initialization has started".
Apr 8, 3, 12 26, The way I read it was, the boot sequence test completed and now the IDE hard drive has control, in other words the OS. A0 is a non-error. Not sure why Asus leaves it like that, undocumented, but it means all is good. I've seen some say that that get an AA code and this is optimal, but the A0 code means control has been handed over to the IDE. Kriska Reputable.
Jun 19, 4 0 4, 0. This code means that control was handed over to hard drive or SSD in you case, and if your PC is not turning on, that means that there is an issue with your drive.
